THE LEARNING CURVE Fall 2008 VISUAL ART & WRITING WORKSHOPS

Introduction to Digital Photography
Camera and Computer

Digital cameras are deceptive. Taking snapshots is a snap, but creating quality digital images is a pain in the mouse. In this two-part beginner’s workshop, participants will learn to use their digital still cameras to make and produce photos that have substance and style. Get to know your camera and manual, in Part 1: Camera and Photography Fundamentals, then learn to transfer digital photos and improve them using software in Part 2: Computers and Software for Photographers. Please bring your camera, manual, batteries, charger, cables, memory card, and photo prints or CDs for Part 1 (plus pen and paper for notes), and your laptop computer if you own one (Mac or Windows) for Part 2.
