THE LEARNING CURVE Fall 2008 VISUAL ART & WRITING WORKSHOPS

Writing with a Butterfly Net

Capture your thoughts on paper before they fly away. Try your hand at writing techniques that shake the creative process loose. Discover ways to identify the pieces that belong in your collection. Learn to offer and receive feedback in a safe environment. Beginners and more experienced writers alike will come away with new ideas, less anxiety and increased enthusiasm in this six-week session.  Bring writing materials and a sense of adventure.

When: Wednesdays, Oct 15, Nov 19, 1:30-3:30pm
         (No class Nov 5)
Where: The Windmill Inn, 4250 N. Campbell Ave.
Cost: $115 (5 sessions)

Instructor:
Marge Pellegrino
is an award-winning author on the artist roster of the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Her published writing includes the early chapter book Too Nice, and picture books My Grandma’s the Mayor, and I Don’t Have an Uncle Phil Anymore. Her grown-up work has appeared more than 100 times in regional and national magazines and in anthologies including Cup of Comfort for Women. Frances Lincoln Books in London will publish her forthcoming young adult novel, Journey of Dreams in 2009.
