Modern and Contemporary Design

Explore the origins of modern and contemporary design in this virtual tour that encompasses artistic
ideals, and great monuments of the Twentieth Century. View the architecture and design of masters
such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, Frank Gehry, Michael Graves and others. Learn about the
art and design of amazing buildings, the people who created them and the cultural elements that influenced them. Appreciate what makes great architecture unforgettable as you discover how modern design continues to influence our lives today.

Cost: $145 (6 sessions)

Instructor: Farzad Nakhai, M.A., a native of Tehran, Iran, received his Bachelor of Architecture (1975) and Master of Architecture (1992) degrees from the University of Arizona College of Architecture, and is a Registered Architect. His work includes both residential and commercial projects. In addition, he is a painter who maintains a studio in Tucson and exhibits in Tucson and other parts of the country. Farzad has taught architectural history, art history and design classes for adult students for many years.
