A Taste of Piedmont
Piedmont or Piemonte is Italy’s second largest region and one of Europe’s glorious food and wine areas, yet it is unknown to most Americans. Located in the northwest corner of Italy, Piemonte’s landscape of mountains, castles and vineyard-covered hills is magical. Here the Savoy Family ruled for centuries and used their great wealth to build opulent baroque residences. This French-inspired cuisine features risotto, polenta, bagna cauda and gorgonzola, white truffles and chocolate paired with red Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiola wines, sweet Moscato and sparkling Spumante. Linda and Larry Grossman are your guides on this delicious culinary and historical program.
When: Tuesday, Mar 20, 11:30am-1:30pm
Where: The Windmill Inn, 4250 N. Campbell Ave.
