Arizona has a long history of pioneering women, including architects. Mary Jane Colter designed some of the Southwest’s most famous landmarks including many of the Grand Canyon’s park buildings. Anne Graham Rockfellow was chief designer for Henry Jaastad and designed many Tucson buildings in the early 1900s. Late-twentieth century architect Judith Chafee is known for blending modern design with desert traditions. Hear about these innovative Arizona women who made their mark in a male-dominated field.
