Molly McKasson

Molly McKasson has been writing poems and plays since grade school. She worked as a professional actress, director, teacher, and playwright for thirty years, and received Arizona Arts Commission grants for three of her eight full-length plays. She was the contributing arts editor for City Magazine, and created the Tucson Weekly City Lights calendar, which included a weekly mini-essay. For seventeen years she wrote a feature for The Tucson Guide and The Phoenix Guide called Molly’s Desert Journal, consisting of four or five personal essays on living in place. She has an MFA in creative nonfiction from Goucher College, and is currently working on a memoir-like cycle of essays and teaching writing at Pima College.
