Visitors to Versailles are usually content with seeing the Grand Apartments and Galerie des Glaces with all their obvious splendor, but there is so much more to Versailles than initially meets the eye. Explore unknown rooms and easily missed details that hold the key to truly understanding this magnificent palace, its intriguing occupants and its continuing significance.

Week 1:  From the Big to the Small.  Hidden Grandeur at the end of the reign of Louis XIV.

Week 2:  Intimate Beauty and Veiled Personality.  The interior world of Louis XV: the Private Apartments and Petits Cabinets.

Week 3: The Secretive Worlds of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette and the end of a dream.

Week 4:   Three monarchs in search of an escape.  Louis XIV, Louis XV and Marie Antoinette and the Enigmatic world of the Grand and Petit Trianon.
