Versailles continues to change, even 233 years after the departure of the monarchy. Attempts to restore the palace have, ironically, begun to destroy it. With new insights, we’ll examine the palace of Versailles, from its ideological and political messages to its artistic and cultural triumphs as we investigate the reigns of Louis XIV and Louis XV, and Louis XVI , the transformation of Versailles in the 19th Century and its continued evolution as a museum in the present day.
